I was in the market for a new pair of sunglasses, and while visiting Disney Spring in Florida, I stopped by Sunglasses Hut which had quite a good collection of nice ones. After trying a few pair, I found those Costa Del Mar Brine Sunglasses with blue lenses which I really liked. The vendor also told me that those had actual glass lenses and not plastic, which is also supposed to make them more scratch resistant. I always had sunglasses with plastic lenses, so I was pretty glad to know about this interesting glass material upgrade (the "G" after the model number means "glass").But I was still at Disney, and already Sunglasses Hut's prices are known for being quite high, combined by Disney location = asked price was like $270 !!!So I thanked the vendor and said i wasn't interested after all, then ran to my hotel and ordered those same sunglasses on Amazon at $160 ! :DI was glad to receive the genuine Costa Del Mar glasses too, since there is apparently lot of fake going around on line. But since I saw how the genuine looked like in my hands at the shop, I knew right away that those were authentic. Funny enough, the super pricey one Sunglasses Hut wanted to sell me didn't came with the original packaging, which came with the glasses ordered on Amazon. So another good surprise right there. As for the glasses, they are light, comfy and seems to block the light just the right way, while giving you some kind of blue-ish vision, but which is the clearest I ever seen in all the sunglasses I worn before. So in short...GOOD:- Lightweight- Looks great and have a nice design- Comfy to wear even for a long period of time- Have vents on the side for added cooling while running with those- Block all the bad light like a charm- Tested and Polarized verified !- Comes with a nice hard carrying & storage case with premium quality lens cleaning cloth- Clear vision and get easily forgotten- Comes with apparently lifetime warranty (need to check still about this)NOT SO GOOD:- Pricey !Up until two years ago, I was wearing a pair of Costa Zanes with glass lenses... I had that pair for a pretty long time, wore them so much, the retainer cable I had finally broke... Well, as luck would have it, they fell of my face, hit the water while lipping one of the biggest Florida Strain Largemouths I had ever caught, and I couldn’t grab them before they sank to the bottom of the lake (was Carolina rigging in 27’ of water so, trying to fish them out wasn’t a possibility)... After losing that pair, I was so frustrated, I decided to never again buy expensive sunglasses; because I always seem lose them (someway, somehow)... However, after using cheap sunglasses for right at two years, I found these... I purchased the 580p lenses for two reasons mainly... One, they are more affordable and two, I’ve never wore the Brine (not sure of the fit)... I actually like the fit better than the Zanes (they are a little smaller and lighter), and couldn’t be more pleased with the lenses... They actually perform better than the glass lenses I had in my old pair (they were the 400p lenses), and make this pair even lighter... So my recommendation, if you are the type of person that spends any significant amount of time outdoors, investing ($100 - $250), in a pair of these is definitely worth it... If you’ve never owned a pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses, you don’t know what you may be missing and if you have owned a pair; you know it’s pretty much impossible to be satisfied with a cheap pair of sunglasses... At this price, I believe these are the perfect pair to try out... Remember, they are a little bit smaller than pairs such a the Zanes or Fathoms by Costa but, the perfect fit it you want a pair of sunglasses that are snug and so light, you can forget your wearing them at all (I’ve walked into my office building and all the way to my desk more than once before I realized I had them on)... Just my $0.02...First shipment was sent delivered with the wrong style. 2nd pair delivered was exactly what I was looking for. This is my 2nd pair of these. The first pair lasted me 7 years and loved them. Your eyes will relax with them.I love costas only glasses I will wear like having high def I can see In the water when irrigating now all my friends got to have themGreat shades, perfect clarity and comfortable. I’ll always pick Costa for my sunglasses.Great polarized light weight and durable glasses for bright sunny days - Great for driving, fishing, and golf. Green lens for HD contrast. Blue lens less HD but more brightness reduction. I have both - love these more than my other more $$$ sun glasses (Oakley, Ray Ban, etc). Best Sun Glasses for the price! So far the best shades I’ve ever purchased. They fit very snug to my face, witch I cant get much out of cheap shades. Very happy that a protective case and micro cleaning cloth was included as well. The clarity and UV protection is very pleasing in bright sunny conditions. I had a set of polarizing glasses which I thought were good, but these just out shone them totally; Or not shoneas the case maybe, they took the glare off the water and I could actually see the trout following the flies, and this improvedmy catch rate no end.Great Glasses.Excelente calidad, ya probados en el mar y con mal clima, no se empañan sin importar la cantidad de agua que les golpee. Muy recomendableI drive for a living and Costas are my only choice.
