These shades are almost the twin to ones by izonesunglasses and JULI. The biggest difference is the screws that hold the lens to the frame. I just received my 1st pair, so time will tell, but this one has screws that seem better affixed and they are slightly larger, so easier to tighten. It blows my mind that some $200 Maui Jim shades have screw heads showing in front! These heads are concealed. The fit is outstanding - comfy nose piece, overall feather light. Stylish, too. My wife really likes them on me. :-)UPDATE:I've had these shades for 6 weeks now and can report the screws stayed in with no untwisting. Solid construction remains valid.UPDATE #2It's been six months now and the screws are holding up perfectly. These shades ROCK!PS. It's raving reviews like mine that recently bumped the price of these shades from $35 to $50. UGH! Alas, they're still worth it and I'm glad to reward those who uphold excellence.PPS. Perhaps the people over pricing saw my post and pursued volume over margin by dropping back to the $34 price. THANK YOU! I just order two more pair. Again, thank you, Columbia!UPDATE #3Been buying these for 2 years now - OK, so I lose them often. 2 years ago Columbia's design had thin grippy plastic strips glued to the ends of the temples behind the ears to help keep the shades in place. Unfortunately, these strips would, over time, peel off. Fortunately, Columbia is on their game! They deleted the strips and now have a slightly bumpy (their logo sunk in) along the inside of the temple ends. Works just as well - shade stay on fine. Hats off to Marchon (distributed thru Columbia) for great design, fabrication and, importantly, product upgrades! Oh how I love excellent design and construction.UPDATE #3OK, so in 3+ years wearing nothing but these fine shades, I lose a bunch of them (alas, I like wine). Hence, have purchased appx 15 pairs. I can report that only one time one of the lens-holding screws came out. Yet, this would not have happened if I'd been proactive and tightened the tiny screws when I noticed it slightly protruding. Kudos to Marchon, maker for Columbia! Superior specs lead to falubous specks! 3 Cheers!
